Hey all, my chicks are about 7 weeks old and have finally moved out to the coop.

I realize that the girls will find grubs on their own while out foraging and will devour them happily.

My question is this. My neighbor has been pulling hundreds of grubs out of their lawn. We've fed some to the girls, and of course they loved them.

Is there any harm to giving my 6 chickens the option to eat these hundreds of grubs, provided there are not pesticides involved?

Thank you!

Oh. They'd also have access to dirt and grit for "chewing" and their normal food and water

bump

hoping for some insight as my neighbors yard is overrun with grubs and that could be some great free tasty feed!

thank you, i just didnt want to overfeed them on one particular item and have their digestive system get jammed up or make them sick or anything.

they seem to love them, a lot!

seems like a good source of protein and natural pest control to me

thanks again
