I made chicken soup today. After picking the carcass I have a soupy mix of the dregs of the chicken - some meat, broth, skin, etc., parts I don't want in my soup. I usually throw this out, but wondered if the chickens will eat it?

Save that and the bones to make bone broth. If you don't want to do that, then, yes, give it to the chickens. They will love it.

We use bones for stock in this house too, cook them down overnight.

Then the chickens get a chance at what's left.

What they don't eat gets mixed into the compost w/ spent hay and goat pellets to finish composting. If you don't have goats, chicken droppings plus leaf litter makes fantastic soil once composted. Throw it there (just takes longer, because chicken droppings are "hotter" fertilizer than goat pellets or bunny gold. The well-cooked bones will finish composting before the chickn droppings are safe for use. Good source of phosphorus).
