feeding mice safe?

you could buy them from the store so you know they havent gotten into poison? i once found a big old dead toad under my rosecombs water, i think they killed it for fun, so i threw it in the delware pen and they finished it quick! everyone got a piece, but let me tell you there was some fighting going on haha

I fed mice to my layers for a long time. didn't hurt them... but the axe did 3 months later.

I'm trying to envision my 7 little hens eating a mouse...and I just don't see it...if nothing else, they may be just plain too lazy to chase down a meal.

the only thing i would be worried about is tapeworms my cat eats the head of mice (yep just the head..) and i have a battle with tapeworms all the time

A few months ago I found a small toad gave it to my chickens (who were only about three months old at the time) and they fought over it for a long time finally one ate it, they are still living.
