I have 20 Cornish X, 5 Red Cornish, and 5 Americaunas comming tomorrow. I have one brooder which I was planning on keeping them all in. I can seperate them if I HAVE to, by dividing the brooder, but I would perfer to keep them together at least for the first week or two. That being said, what should I feed them??? Im thinking 20% medicated flock starter.

Will this hurt any of them? If the meaties grow a little more slowly that is ok. What do you think?

Thanks flocko'seachicks. I got some Start n grow (18%). The mill accidently gave me non-medicated so the bf decided that it would be a good idea to mix the start n grow with some medicated turkey starter he has for his quails. Hopefully it works out ok. Everyone seems to be happy and health so far.

Not sure if you have to, but I'm raising some fatties (cornish x) and regular chicks... I wouldn't trust the fatties not to eat all the food and leave the smaller chicks to starve. The fatties food doesn't last long and once empty the fatties just sit by the feeder looking longingly at it until it is refilled. At two and half weeks, my fatties are bigger than my month olds... I'm going to keep them in fat camp until they take the bus down to visit Mister Freezer.

Just my thoughts though...
