How on earth do I feed the chickens when I'm adding in pullets and a rooster? Not everyone will need that extra calcium yet and the hens shouldn't have the baby food! I'm confused!

I feed all chickens after 10 weeks old, either a Non-medicated Starter Grower or a All-Flock/Flock Raiser crumble, with 18/20% Protein, whichever is fresher when I'm at TSC, with Oyster Shells separately.
I have Hens 35 months old and Pullets 6 months old. GC

Super easy, feed anything but layer :D

All Flock, Chick Starter/Grower, Meatbird/Broiler Crumbles. You can feed any of those. Just put out a container of oyster shell and a container of grit (optional, but I like to).

I never ever buy layer. I might this summer when it's super hot, just for some feed savings, but in general I just don't use the stuff.

I have large fowl, bantam size and (had) a rooster... I feed all flock all the time, and oyster shell on the side. This way each girl is getting the amount of calcium she personally needs, rather than having it forced into her system.
