hi all. I am new to pheasants and should be hatching some ring necks in the next couple of weeks. I was wondering what should I feed than when they hatch.

Gamebird starter crumble. You will have to stick their beaks in their water and then their food so they get the hang of it.Don't have their water dish to deep as they will jump in and drownd themselves.
In N.H.,Tony.

put marbles or something in the water'er to help keep them from drowning. Pheasant Chicks need about a 24-28% protein wild game bird feed, crumble as stated by Tony KT. so don't settle for chicken crumble unless that is all you can find....something would be better than nothing. Remember, hatched chicks can survive on their yolk for about a day after they hatch, after that they need to eat and drink and keep warm. keep them dry and warm.
