I've had one peacock for a while now and it has been out & about. A couple of months ago I bought 3 more and now have all 4 in a pen. It seems they don't eat much. These are good sized birds and it seems they hardly eat at all. They seem to act pretty healthy. Thet are getting same food as the many chickens we have: laying pellets/crumbles, corn, scratch.
Is there some peacocks especially like? They don't seem to be lacking in any way, I just thought they would eat more.

I have Peacocks.
I feed them hen scratch, scraps from the house and cat chow.
They really like fruit too, grapes, apples, oranges etc..
I try to feed them the high protien cat chow as Peacocks need a high protien diet.
They also like mixed greens from salad etc.. They really like scraps of meat.

They don't seem to eat allot and they are pretty hardy birds. Ours free ranch and sleep in a big fir tree at night. They also would like to spend the day sitting on the porch if I let them but they get shoo'ed off. They can be messy.
I worry about them in winter but people who have had Peacocks for years and years tell me not too, they can take care of themselves.
