I've heard the pear seeds contain arsenic. I currently canning pears and wanted to give the left overs to my flock. Is it safe?

Yes, it's safe.

Yes, pear seeds contain cyanide, but there's just not much there. To poison yourself, you'd need to save up a couple of bushels worth of seeds, grind em up to a powder, and eat them all at the same time (and not eat anything else). It would take less to kill your birds, but you're not accidentally going to do it.
