Feeding pullets

This is my 3rd year of raising pullets. I too, have read everything I can find, but there are so many different views. I got my chicks when they were 3 days old and they are now 3 weeks old. When can I give them say, meal worms? I also have 2 baby Pekin ducks in with them. I see no problems as of yet, but am I in for trouble?
Thanks for any input---I am ALWAYS looking for advice! :O)

Many people give very young chicks extra foods, and others feel they should get only chick feed for the first few months. I don't know of any sort of study that indicates either approach is the only correct one. I would be very careful that the size of the pieces of food is pelnty small enough for them.

Thank you--maybe I'll just wait for another month and see. Just want to get them to feel less skitish when I'm taking care of them.

Be sure to mix chick grit in with feed

Actually I would offer the grit separately to try to avoid their getting too much of it.
