Feeding quail moringa leaves?

Anybody feed moringa leaves to their quails? Here’s an interesting study regarding eggs laying and hatching after feeding them moringa.

Cool. Moringa (aka Marungay) grows like a weed by my house. Would be nice to get more eggs and higher fertility for free.

I added a few moringa leaves to the quail pens. In one pen, the male kept calling hens to come get some as though I had thrown in mealworms (their favorite). The hens were not amused when all that was there was a branch of leaves and a horny roo.

Both sets of birds are grazing on the greens though. Will let you know if I see anything remarkable.

My mother was very happy to sprout 6 moringa seeds this past spring. She would spend hours raving on about the health benefits. There certainly are some! And I don't believe it posh to assume at least some of these health benefits would be felt by the quails eating it.

I've attached a small info-graphic that shows some of the claimed health benefits of Moringa. It almost seems like one of those plants that's a great weekly addition to ones (or one's quails) diet. I say weekly because its always good to introduce new things to the diet over time. And quails are just sooo small. Haha. (If you're finding it's going well, you could possibly use this herb daily, but please research all you can before making this apart of your diet) :)

I hope your quail enjoy it, nevertheless! And I encourage everyone to read up, and see if its right for you, too!

Thanks a ton for sharing this! Very awesome information!

I have a tree as well and I’ve been feeding the leaves to my bobwhites, they seem to love it. The coturnix are slower to try them out but it seems to me like they’re getting used to the taste. Let’s wait and see.
