feeding question

ill be moving my chicks to a coop soon, and i was wondering should they have feed in there at all times or be fed at a certain time of day? after the imprinting phase is over they will free range.

i keep feed in there at all times but its your preference

It depends on you. Are you going to be around 24/7 to hand feed them or provide their food at certain times in the day? If not or you just don't want to take the time, leave it out.

I always keep a feeder in the coop. My flock does free range at times and they get leftovers from time to time as well.
