feeding questions....

ok so I am still figuring this all out!

Here is what I am thinking about feeding the chickens in addition to the layer crumbles
alfalfa
dried peas and other legumes
lettuce and other greens
cottage cheese (their favorite!)
veggie scraps
left over dinner....

is that ok....good, bad?? should I omit anything or add anything??

I believe some/most/all of the legumes need to be cooked, before feeding to chickens. There is something toxic in the raw ones.
Some lettuce does not have a lot of nutrients.
With all treats, keep it to less than 10% of their diet.
