Feeding Tent Worms

Our trees are polluted with tent worms already. Has anyone ever cut the branch off and gave it to their girls?

I do not know what tent worms are, but probably the chickens would love them?!!

If they like them they will eat them. If they taste terrible they won't.

Wow, that would be nice! The pecan trees get tent worms and we all hate them. What a great way to get rid of them! Worth a shot, for sure.

I think I would do some reading up on that subject. I do know that tent worms are a real problem for pregnant mares. I saw a TV show and I can't remember exactly how many millions of dollars were lost in Kentucky due to the new crop of foals aborting because of tent worms. They may not be a problem for chickens at all, but I thought I would bring it to your attention.

I think they find them too "hairy"
