I need to plan for while I'm living with my grandmother because I can't constantly ride my bike back home just to feed the birds.
They have a hanging feeder that I filled up before leaving and it lasts for around a week before needing to be refilled.
My dad has been letting them free range but obviously they need feed more than whatever they find.

My dad is busy with taking care of the other pets so I don't want to make him take care of the birds as well unless he's just checking on them.

Any suggestions for keeping the feeder full while I'm away??

You should be feeding around 1/4 pound of feed per bird per day. Ignore any roosters as they eat very little. So, how many chickens do you have and how long do you want to go between refillings?

A twelve pound small feeder would feed four birds for twelve days, a 30 pound medium feeder would feed six birds for 20 days, an extra large feeder holds 63 pounds of feed and would feed ten birds for 25 days.

Water is simple during warm weather, not so simple with freezing temperatures. A big tub with an immersion heater perhaps?

7 adult hens, 2 pullets, 5 ducks, and 1 drake.

They have a few waters plus huge deep puddles
