Feeding whole grains?

I feed my chickens whole oats, plus fish & alfalfa meal free choice.

My birds are in very good weight.

I plan on doing the same with my turkeys. Is anyone else feeding whole grains as the sole diet?

Of course, I will feed game bird started to babies, but plan to wean them to whole grains as soon as I am able. With chickens I start introducing grains at around 3 weeks.

mine love whole grains, lentils, split peas, sunflower seeds, acorns, bread, eggs scrambled or hard boiled turkeys really just love to eat mine are always trying to convince me that they need some kind of treat
