usually, i dont mind. every day people make fun of me for it. it just got to me TODAY because the entire class joined in. and im not exaggerating. (i have a small 6th period class of 13) it was awful. they were saying things like "it died because she fried it!" "oh, i bet you will turn into a quail cause you ate yours" i wanted to scream, but last time i did that i got sent to the counselor... oh well.

i guess i'll have to deal with it. but that's ok! while they're out there ruining their lives with drugs and drinking, i have my quail to look forward to seeing every day

I am so sorry, I know it was terrible for you to have lost little Pepi (what a cute name, BTW).
I am a looooong way from HS, but I still get harrassed by my family for my animals.

I think some of them are finally seeing the light, but it's been a long, hard road. We here on BYC, are all with you and we understand. Hang in there and stick with your animals - keep avoiding the drugs, alcohol and bad crowd. I, for one, am proud of you for doing that already. Keep up the good work, stay strong, and don't let the dregs pull you down to their level.

You are a brave individual. Kudos to you.

(ps: as far as the celebrities - who cares? They are getting paid too well to 'play.' They are no better than we are, but we work harder for less. I can't keep up with them either, there are much more important things in life to do.)

Years later.....

She serves me breakfast at the restaurant i go to almost every weekend.
(she thought she was going to be a movie star or something)

Reminds me that not being popular in high school was OK.

yeah people can be jerks some times u live in california right i also live there my city is LA and i have chickens with no problems and quail as well and go to a place to buy them maybe u live in a more quiet area hope u feel better don't let people get the better of u.
