Fell down and cracked but still alive

I have a tree in my front yard with a pigeon nest everyday I used to check on it . But today I didnt see the mother bird or the egg I was searching and found the egg on the ground cracked . I took it inside and saw the baby chick alive and moving. I opened the rest of the egg shell and a liquid came out , not the yolk . The pigeon was still alive and it had a little feathers . It couldnt open its beak or eyes or make any sound but it was moving . I put it in between two fluffy pieces of cloth I dont know what to do . Should I put a heat lamp ? What food should I give it ? Please send help

It had a better chance of survival if you had left it in the egg. I don’t know if there is much you can do now, but getting it a heat lamp is it’s best chance. Put it in a box under a heat lamp with water. I don’t know what you feed pigeon baby’s, but I’m sure someone knows. Chances are it is underdeveloped and will die, and that liquid stuff probably is part of the chick. I hope it survives and if it doesn’t don’t beat yourself up about it. One other thing you can do is post a photo of the liquid stuff.

as i read if you cracked the egg open and used some sort of incubator, the egg will explode. im not really sure if its going to be different with heat lamps. you could maybe try and catch an adult pigeon baby pigeons that are just born eats regurgitated milk from an adult bird. hopefully it could survive
