My female button quail is lethargic and laying on her side. She was fine this morning when I checked on the quail. Idk what is wrong with her. Is she possibly egg bound? What do I need to do? All help is appreciated!

give her some electrolytes to help perk her up. I think treatment for egg bound is the same for chicken so your gonna want to give her a soak in some Epsom salt water to help her lay the egg.

She just started walking a bit but there is still something obviously wrong with her
Is she pooping?
Do you have photos of her?
How old is she?
Could she have bonked her head?
Is she laying eggs?

I'd work on hydration. Give her a bit of sugar water or electrolytes to see if she will perk up.

You need to figure out if she's injured or perhaps struggling with an egg.

If it's struggling with an egg, then get Extra Calcium into her. For a Quail, I'd give her 1/2 tablet Calcium Citrate+D3 once daily. Make sure she's drinking, place her in quiet area and hope she's able to expel the egg. I would not soak her unless she's very much used to being handled and will tolerate soaking. IME, Quail get extremely stressed and soaking her may send her over the edge.

If she bonked her head, then do give the sugar water/electrolytes, start her on 400IU Vitamin E and 1/4 B-Complex daily. See that she's eating/drinking.
