Female duck mounting drake?

I was outside replacing our ducks water, when I saw Daffy (my female duck) trying to mount the drake. I’m so confused. I’ve heard of females mounting other females, but never this! What’s going on? Should I be worried?
I also have pictures of either of them just to make sure I have the genders right. The first one is the drake, and the other is the female.
theyre about half a year old (I can’t pinpoint exactly when we got them, sorry.) and the female hasn’t started laying anything yet.
also, is there any chance that she’s actually a male or hermaphrodite?

im not sure but you definitely have the genders right. you sure they weren’t fighting?

Mounting is a dominance thing. She was probably mad at him and making sure he knew it. Nothing to worry about

Female ducks will mate eachother if there is no male present, I wonder if she was just taking initiative since he is shy.
