Female Muscovy??

Howdy all, I just aquired 4 Muscovy ducks and have a feeling they are female. Am I correct?

How old? I'm getting boy vibes.

4-5 months old I thought males had more "stuff" around their face and eyes

Not until they are older. Males have thicker legs, are larger, and hiss.

Also carnacles vary based on breeding. Mine have very little. Drakes also have a crest of feathers on the back of the head they raise when excited, but yours are young yet.

This is my first time owning ducks, how long for them to fully mature?

Thanks for the tip. Two have feathers that raise up on their head. Just looking for that thread right now

My new drake is barely a year and he doesn't have much for carnacles. Generally they are mature after a year, though carnacles can still develop for a few years after, especially on the drakes.
