Hi everyone I have a feral rooster hanging around he's not afraid of humans though. I'm worried because he is terrorizing my hens and two other roosters. I don't know what to do and I don't want to hurt him or need to catch and remove him. What should I do?:(

You will either need to put fencing up to keep him out or catch him with a net and try to find the owner.

If you want to adopt him I'd quarantine him for at least a month. He could be carrying lice/mites/worms/respiratory disease. That is one reason to either catch him and adopt him/treat him for all that, or get rid of him.

Set out a Have-a-Heart trap and bait with scratch grains. Make certain bait also is scattered around outside and entrance so bird gets a morsel with every step.

Show a picture of him.

Thank you everyone for the choices on how to humanly do what's best for him. I have decided not to keep him Due to the fact that I already have two roosters, but will continue to look for a home once is know he is healthy. I will also post a picture very soon. I think he's a purebred frizzle Cochin.

And to aart I would keep my chickens in, but it would be a very small enclosed space for them to live in forever.
