Can anyone give advise on fermenting duckling feed. I've started a batch for my three week old ducklings but it smells very different than the chicken feed I've fermented in the past. The duckling feed smells sour to me. I may just throw it out but would like to know if anyone had advice they can give. Thanks!

how are you fermenting it? What ingredients?
I wouldn't feed anything that smells sour

It is Dumor Duck All Life Stages. I put it in a canning jar with water covering the top of the food by 3 inches. The jar was covered with cheese cloth and fermented for 3 days. I ended up tossing it out. Better to be safe than sorry. Thank you for responding and have a great day.
