I have 3 duck hens, a rouen, black swedish, and a golden hybrid 300. They are all over a year and a half, but I have never seen my black swedish lay, and I have NEVER gotten more than 2 eggs a day. But something I have noticed is that my duck eggs are fertile. There is no access for a drake to get in with them, their main pen is completely covered, and when they free range, its supervised. The only one I have never seen using the nesting boxes is the black swedish, BUT "her" voice is that of a hen, and no curled tail feather, and has never had one. So what is up with that?

I am not a fan of trying to figure out if the egg is fertile by looking for a bullseye because I agree they are very tricky.
I prefer to just put them in the incubator.
