Fertile Egg Question

I recently added a rooster to my flock of hens, and my wife is worried that one day while preparing breakfast she will crack open an egg with a partly developed chick inside. Should that be a concern?

No concern because in order for a chick to start developing, egg needs to be under a broody hen . Just collect your eggs daily or such and your breakfast will be meat free.

Thanks for your reply. I have told my wife the same thing, but coming from someone other me, (being new at keeping chickens) carries more weight.
