Hi!

My first batch of eggs are being shipped to me monday and are going in the incubator wed. I plan to put on the incubator on monday and get it all set. Once the eggs arrive should I have them sitting in the egg turner until they go in the incubator? or should they just sit unmoved to settle from the shipping?

Also it says to not open the incubator at all while eggs are incubating but how do I add water and candle the eggs then?
thank you!

Newbie here, too, but this is what I know so far:

Move the eggs a bit before setting, especially shipped eggs. Place them in an egg carton, pointy side down and adjust the carton to move them "side to side", until youplace them in the incubator.

Have your incubator running and TESTED well before putting eggs in.

You can open the incubator during days 1-18 to turn eggs or candle, but close lid quickly and odn't candle eggs for longer than 30 minutes.

Day 18-21 = lockdown. Do not open incubator at all.

Thank you!

do you think Its better to put them in the egg carton instead of the turner until they go in the incubator?
This is how I have marked my calender does it seem correct?

If all goes well and eggs go in on wed follow these dates-

Temps should be between 99.5-100.5
Humidity should be between 35% and 45%, and higher during hatching.
Fill water twice a week-16th, 19th, 21st, 25th, 28th, 5th
Don't open incubator after day 18- March 5th
Add water for last time at day 18- March 5th
Remove egg turner at day 18- March 5th
Eggs should hatch between day 19 and 25- March 6th-March 12th
