I found a nest of 12 of my Game hen eggs that I would like to incubate. I know they are fertile and fairly fresh within a week or two of being laid. We have had a couple nights that have gotten down to around 28-30F degrees with in the last week. Any chance they are still good sitting out in the nest through these temps?

some of them probably are good .. if you got a free incubator atm throw em in there and weed them out in 10 days .. if i was wanting a good percentage though id rather collect them by day out of the boxes ..

Ideally, I would, but these Game hens run free range, and finding the nests is not always the easiest. I just happend to find them and would like to get a hatch but didn’t know if it was a lost cause. I do have an incubator ready to go.

Have had a couple nights dip just below freezing with a Frost but has been pretty mild other than that over the past two weeks which is the time frame that I’m sure they have been laid.
