fertile eggs ?

My serama pair have been in the breeding pen for 4 months I haven't seen the cockerel mate the hen should the eggs be fertile ?

If they both are of breeding age, he should be doing his job.

You can crack an egg into a bowl to check fertility. Look at the yolk. If it's fertile, you'll see a white bullseye about the size of the head of a pin. If it's infertile, it'll be a misshapen white dot instead. You may have to flip the yolk with a spoon, as sometimes the dot/bullseye is on the underside of the yolk.
