I have a couple question.

1) Gather eggs from fellow backyarder's , how long is an fertile egg good for before it need to be discarded? (how long will they keep?)

2.) can fertile eggs be stored in fridge before being incubating?

Thanks

1) I have heard that about 10 days is the limit for hatchability, and past 5 days the hatch rate starts to decline.

2) I have read of people incubating refridgerated eggs. However, I would not recommend it, as the low temperature is likely to kill the membrane in the egg.

Thank you for the quick response!

I have not done this since I was in 4-H many many many years ago.
