Fertile versus non-fertile

My wife says we shouldn't get a rooster she says we should only eaten on fertile eggs.

What's your opinion.

There's no semen in the egg, the ova has already been fertilized by a single sperm before the egg completes its journey. So there is no difference in eating a fertilized vs unfertilized egg. Just don't incubate them first.
 
Very difficult to tell the difference, one needs a bit of experience. But it is perfectly fine to eat fertilized eggs, the eggs are inert until they have been kept at 100 degrees for 24 hours. So even sitting on the counter in most kitchens are perfectly fine.
