fertilize egg no rooster ?

we gave a box of eggs to a friend on friday, and they cracked open an egg that contained a well develop chick. we do not have any roosters. and a second egg had started to develop?these eggs were at room temp for 10 to 12 days. 65 to 75 deg. so what gives. is this an immaculate conception!

Either way, how did the eggs develop without heat? Do you collect everyday?

i went to see my friend, and he said my eggs were the only one,s he has. his wife put it in the trash. could a chick grow at room temp? no roosters, all 9 have laid an eggs.

No, an egg could not develop at room temperature unless you are running at around 100 F. Can you post pictures of your flock ?
