Can anyone tell me how long a fertilized egg lasts without a hen being set on? I was thinking about buying some for my hen to set on but worried about them being good if that haven't been set yet. Thanks

If I'm understanding your question correctly - eggs that are kept betwen 55-65 degrees in high humidity with the fat end up and that have been tilted 45 degrees twice daily will last up to ten days before beginning incubation, whether by a hen or in an incubator.

Thank you so much! That answered my question perfectly!
