fertilized eggs???

I had read a post about fertilized eggs that said that a fertile egg will have a white dot on the yoke.
I have all hens. But earlier this week I was seperating yokes for a recipe and notice a white dot on a few of my yokes. Does this mean that those eggs were fertilized?

Yes, They sound to me like if they were fertilized

Hey I love joe, what is that white thicker stuff around the yoke? Does that mean it is fertilized?

That's what "anchors" the yolk in the center of the egg. It's called the chalazae.

That is called the chalazea. Katy is correct, it anchors the yolk.

That white spot in the yolk cant mean they are fertilized. I have 10 hens/no roos & I noticed it too. I thought that I went out of order & it was an older egg

A small white dot is normal on unfertilized eggs. Fertilized eggs will have a larger white spot, it usually looks like a bullseye.
