Fertilizer / Weed Killer

I am trying to get my lawn cleaned up and green. Am I putting the ladies in danger if I fertilize and use weed killer. They free range most afternoons...

i put down weed and feed last week kept my chicks in there run until first good rain which came two days later waited one day after rain then let the out thats been over a week they are doing just fine

Thanks, that is exactly what i was trying to say "weed and feed", But I could not remember what it was called. Sounds like a plan, the ladies will yell and squak at me while they are not allowed out but it is for their own good. Thanks.

lol mine did the same and i think i heard one say thank god you only have to do this 2 time a year

I haven't put anything on in 29 years & my lawn greened up in 2 days this week. I believe it greens up on it's own with water & warm weather. I am so glad I don't need worry about my lawn. So many more important things to get done.
