Well we have, once again, eggs in the 'bator!

11 Barred Rock
8 Delaware
5 Silver Phoenix

The idea is to see, firstly, if all the boys are back to doing their jobs on their girls (now thankfully all should be pure eggs). I have seen plenty of action from the BR and Phoenix boys, but still haven't witnessed the Delawares (maybe they're shy). Secondly I want to know if Mrs. Delaware's ginormous eggs will actually hatch (set 3 of them even tho two are OOOOLD). And lastly I need more Delaware & Phoenix hens.

So - hatch date is...um...April 7th or 8th! Wish us luck! And if you know anyone wanting Barred Rock hens or roos, let me know because I will be selling all of those that hatch! LOL

Well, the 8th would be a nice hatch date since that's the day my older son was "hatched" 30 years ago this April. No, I swear, I cannot believe I said that. How can this be? Am I not still in my 30's?? Oh, well, back on track here. We certainly want Mrs. Delaware's eggs to be fertile! Surely, they are. I'm counting on Mr. Delaware to help provide yours truly with some of those hens that lay the ginormous eggs!

I feel like a broken record posting on two boards here!

For my own personal safety I will avoid the age comment except for saying I woulda never guessed it - which I have said before!

Here's hoping the coinsiding birthday will bring good luck! I hope he's being the man too! I don't think he has fathered anything as yet...

We also just figured out that we'll be out of town for the hatch in Indiana (whoops!). So I have to figure out if our auto's power converter can handle running the bator! Eeks! It will be our first interstate hatch! LOL My van's gonna be a mommy!
