Seems like everybody with extra crates and travel kennels brought them, and the last ones went for giveaway prices.
As always, Tony Di Paulo did a good job with the auctioning. Sale seems to get longer every year.
Topsfield Fair had a great run of good weather so there were no leftover bushels of apples, and no cider this year - the FFA farmstand sold out all of its stock during the Fair.
One issue I had- the ducks I bought for muscovies turned out to be Muscovy crosses so these ladies will be sterile- so no chance to hatch any little fuzzies for next years auction. Mine didn't quack during the sale but did when they got home.
Also, I didn't see any NPIP paperwork on any of the poultry sold, and I was told it must come with the birds to be sold.
Most but not all had test tags on their feet. Some of my birds were too young to test, so the state declined to check any of them leaving me on the outside looking in as far as selling surplus birds. - well, better luck next year, I guess.....
