I need help in finding a solution with two of my four roosters. Two are fighting and I think one will kill the other if they are kept together. They were both a bloody mess the other day, I seperated them for a few days then put them back together overnight but they were right back at it when daylight broke. Unfortunately, when I got them, I didn't think either was a rooster, they were both supposed to be hens. Gracie actually raised Norman and his sisters, then a few months later Gracie crowed. What can I do? Neither have spurs, they seem to be cclawing each other with their toenails. Can one be neutered, declawed? I can't put them in a pot and I don't want to keep them seperated, I only have one coop.

I have four roosters, three guinea hens and 13 hens. I am getting another dozen pullet chicks soon but they won't mature for a while.

I don't think there is much you can really do unless you want to just wait and see what happens. :( Can you put an ad on craigslist? That's how I get rid of my extra roos. I've never heard of neutering a rooster. I think you can get their spurs taken off, but whatever surgery you're looking at, it will probably cost a good bit of money. I recently had half of my chickens turn out to be roos (11 out of 21) and I let them free range until I found homes for them because some were starting to fight.

Thanks for the reply but I guess I just want to keep him, I don't want him ending up in someone elses pot. Sorry about your 11 out of 21, not a good ratio!
