Figuring Out Egg Production

About half my flock are EE, halfish are Black Aus, and five are Brown Leghorns (white eggs). Other than color, I have no idea who lays what, but I have no egg issues. They get straight all-flock pellets, a handful of scratch once a day when we turn tem out to forage so we can look them over, and have self-serve OS and grit always available. They are one and two years old. There are 20 of them and we get 12 to 16 eggs a day, even in this heat. Good luck with yours!

I track eggs by color in each coop. I keep groups/breed together at certain times in separate pens and i know at least that all are laying or the average per week for that group. Surprisingly this is how I found out 1 of my Polish was a hen not a roo since I get 4 eggs sometimes in a day from 4 birds. Whenever I get new birds they are always segregated for a couple weeks or sometimes over a month. I get to know who lays what eggs that way. I can hatch only certain eggs from known hens that way.
