Finally a Broody buff!

My Buff orfington just went broody today, FINELY. How many eggs can I leave under her sucessfully? 10-12 maybe? I also have some seramas so I was giong to put some of those eggs under her. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a good number. I stuffed 15 under my broody Barred Rock, however she's lost a few out the front of the nest while rearranging them and we're down to 11 or 12. -Wendy

I have been wanting this forever, but now I have eggs being shipped I wish she would have waited a day or two. The eggs should be here by next wend. Do you think I could still put some under her or will that be to much time between them? They are serama eggs so they hatch at 19 day not 21.
