Finally decided to get some little Chickies!

Hey All, I am Tyler, just got myself registered to the forum

I've been thinking about getting some chickens for a long time and finally decided that this year is going to be the year to do it.

I just about have my coop and run finished, I'll probably post pictures soon, and I've got my chickens ordered, they ship on the 11th, I'm pretty darned excited. haha

I got a rather large assortment, I kept telling myself to not get so many, but my mouse just kept clicking "One of these chickens, one of those" until I ended up with about 35 chickens. Many more than i thought I was going to get but It'll be fun! I look forward to sharing my expireince with all of you and hopefully learning a bit from you all as well!

Welcome. Im new here also. You will find that everyone is very helpful and friendly. Its a great board with lots of info. I raise Bantys. What kind of chickens are you expecting.

Like I said before, i went a little crazy when choosing my chickens, I probably got too many breeds.... but heres the list

15x Jumbo Cornish Rocks (my meat birds, all males)
1 x Belgian D'uccle, mille fleur
1 x white silkie
3 x salmon favorelles (1 males, 2 female)
2 x speckled sussex (both female)
2 x partridge rocks (both female)
2 x golden laced wynadottes (both female)
1 x cuckoo maran
1 x turken (female)
3 x silver grey dorkings (1 male, 2 female)
2 x white crested black polish (both female)
2 x jersey black giants (both female)

1 x random free chickie

I'm thinking I'll have a very colorful flock, lots of variety. I can't wait

Welcome Chicken guy!
I too just ordered my first chicks! I have 3 hens and a roo at home that I got full grown from my Mother in law. I totaly enjoy them and I am looking forward to my new chickies! It is exciting isnt it?! I never thought that I would be this addicted to chickens.
