I feed chick feeds and my ducks do fine too. I do toss in brewer's yeast, particularly for my heavy breeds. They seem more likely to have leg problems than the smaller breeds. They love it. It's a bit pricey, but hey, it makes ME feel good! Haven't ever had a problem with Angel wing, I've mostly fed age appropriate feeds. Sometimes I've experimented with the higher protein game bird starters. The ducks have thrived on that too without Angel wing. Fortunately I think they are pretty forgiving. I think generally I've avoided medicated chick starters, but I don't worry about it too much either.
