After waiting to get chicks at our local feed store for over a month, and having our pick up date being moved farther back( all the way to May 31) and also being told that they didnt even think they were going to get any, I got up at 5:30 this morning, pulled out of the drive way at 6:30, to be in the parking lot of Big R at 7:00( they didnt open till 8:00) and there was already a line forming of people who are also having a hard time getting chicks. And so now it begins...
They are now all warm and comfy...I now am the mommy of 10 Buff Orpingtopns and 20 Astralorps. (12 of the Australorps Im raising for someone else) My kids are going to be soooo excited when they get home from school! What are the odds of getting a roo with this group of pullet chicks? Just curious if anyone has an idea?
