Hello, you would be best off to get at least 3 when you're ready...that way if one is lost, you don't end up with a lonely single bird.

Hello, and welcome to BYC. I would recommend at least 3 rather than 2. That way when one dies, and this will eventually happen, 2 remain as company for one another.
