actually, i have a few questions.
i had 17 baby guineas hatch about 5 1/2 weeks ago. i gave 3 away, so i have 14 babies roaming the property now. yesterday was the first day out along with the parents. today they seem to enjoy patrolling for bugs and eating grass seeds. festus, the rooster, is highly aggressive/protective toward the chickens. will this subside after the babies are grown?
i am wondering if i need to keep all 14 babies? will i run into problems with inbreeding? do i need to introduce new stock? when?
i have a coral blue pied female and would love to have more coral blues. out of 17 babies, five are pure white, the rest are pied pearl except for one pearl. what makes coral blues? do i need to cross 2 coral blues?
ok.....thats it ...for now. LOL
