First things first!
My name is Brad. I currently have 9 standard large hens and a Serama Rooster who isn't much of a Roo but weighing in at less than 1.5 lbs he holds the fort down the best he can! I also have 3 dogs. 2 parrots. A Leopard Gecko. 3 black cats. Some fish swimming around in random aquariums in the house and I think thats about it. I am happily married to a wonderful husband who tolerates all of this.
Growing up I had chickens, birds, dogs, cats, passels, chameleons, iguanas, ferrets ETC!
Ive study animals growing up. Watching documentaries. Researching, Comparing Notes. Basically everything normal kids don't do!
The moment I believe my love was sparked for animals and birds in particular was on my sixth birthday I received my first animal. A Cockatiel. I named Fred. But spelled "Fread" for the longest time.
I still have him! I am 24 years old now! He came with me to my first house. Now he is about to come along for a new adventure. Me and my husband are about to buy a home together! But me and that crazy little Cockatiel did everything growing up together. He went everywhere I did. Camping trips, bike riding, playing in the woods, tree climbing. Most importantly hanging out in my favorite childhood spot. My "parents" large chicken run.
But one of my main reasons for living life is CHICKENS! I have always had chickens. Raising chickens is one of my favorite hobbies. I enjoy these goofy creatures so much. I would love to help anyone in anyway I can with experiencing the joy of chickens!
I have enjoyed this site for years!
