Ok, this may seem silly, I want to sell my extra eggs, some people do not want or understand the meat spots, or blood spots or anything out of the ordinary, is there a good way of knowing which eggs have them? without breaking them? If so could you explain how that is done. Thank you.

Candle the eggs.

There are actual 'egg candlers' that you can buy, but a good bright flashlight works just as well.

Best to do in a dark room. Hold the egg on top of the flashlight and roll the egg around bewteen your fingers. Watch for any strange looking dark spots in them.

Thank you, do you think I will see it even if it is small? These I get occationally, very small little spots on the yolk or the side of it, I don't really worry about it but it makes soom people go ewwww.... I don't want those eggs!

In those instances you're just up to luck.....

You know, people who have never been connected to farms (i.e. to the earth) just don't understand these things, do they!! They really think that everything in life should be clean, sterile, sanitized and perfect.

I have had a few people just lately say that they thought that store bought eggs had been bleached to make them white. They didn't know that any chickens laid white eggs naturally.

People are just to funny! I was thinking maybe the key is education, like including a printed sheet explaining it all... but then again, maybe not.
