Finding and adult rooster

You could always get a few more day-old pullets and order a little roo with them (if you want to raise chicks again this spring). Then you could get to know his personality (unless you can find someone trying to rehome and then give a roo a chance at a good life 💖).
P.S. I’ve had some sweet RIR roosters, so not all of them grow up to be total butt heads 🤓.

So fb and Craigslist safe to look for a rooster I’d like to be sure he’s healthy before letting home near my girls
Yes, but you would still need to quarantine any new birds before introducing them for at least 14 days. Even if they came from immaculate conditions. The stress of moving alone can bring out hidden disease in the healthiest looking birds.
I've bought birds from both sites and always quarantine just to be safe.

I'd give you mine, but he'd be no god against anything above 6 inches tall. He's an itty-bitty Sebright. :gigHe's not really a bad rooster, but he's a jumpy little bugger.

There are ALWAYS people posting on FB ad CL to rehome roos. I am happy to hear you want one. There are so many out there that need homes because it seems so few places even allow roosters.

You might want to wait until your girls are bigger and then get a younger rooster. If you get one the same age, he will be sexually mature before they are and this can cause some problems.😊
Ooh did not even think about that thank you I’d be chasing him around the enclosures screaming his earned name .. No means no

I tell my rooster that ALL THE TIME when he harasses my girls. Most are molting right now. That slows him down, but doesn't stop him. What he lacks in stature, he makes up for in eagerness!
