Need some advice. Might be a dumb question but I have to ask. After getting a batch of new chicks for our flock I now have one too many roosters. I wish I could keep them all but I can't. So I have someone interested in them and he only wants mature chickens and he is wanting all 3. About a month ago same guy came and got 2 other roosters from me. He seemed nice and had a nice cage in his car for them. But does it seem like he would be using them for fighting? I am sure if I asked he would say no. But is it strange to want that many roosters? Thank you!'

That's good to know. Thank you!! One is a maran a wyndot and a Cochin makes neck I've had for about 2 years. Guess I'm too attached to them. Just hope this guy has lots of land and not planning a big BBQ. Thank you!

Are you concerned about cock fighting or BBQ?
I'd say there's good chance they're going to the soup pot like Fred suggested.

If you're really concerned...ask the guy what he's doing with so many roosters.
Are you giving them away or selling them?

I'm selling. And too attached to them. Lol. The person just picked them up and paid for them. I asked and he says he has lots of land. So ok. I'm sure one or two will be in a stew pot. I had my husband BBQ an aggressive one before. **** thing attacked me he was about half my height. So he had to go.

Noone who fights cocks would want the birds you named for that purpose. They would be useless for that purpose. Birds used for fighting, Games, are bred for that purpose & are much stronger & more aggressive than other breeds. Anyone who buys a quantity of random males is almost certainly buying them for the pot, not the pit.
