Fine Vs Coarse wood shavings

Hi,
We have been using Tractor Supply brand Wood shavings since our chicks arrived and thought they were the norm. However as we just ran out ... I went local to a feed store and bought a bail of TOP Bedding and it very fine compared to the other shavings from TSC. To me, I feel the finer stuff may be more absorbent. BUT It is also a lot more dusty !
Any thoughts on the difference and what is better ?

I think you would be happier with coarse.
