I'm sorry, I keep asking questions, but I need your wisdom!!

I did not buy treated wood for my chickens - I just bought boring old 2x4's. Should I treat my wood frame?

Experiences welcomed!

I don't know what you are treating for.

If you live in a wet humid climate you may want to treat the wood with water seal.

Depends on where the 2x4's will be located. If they will be in direct contact with the ground, or you live in a very humid climate, I would suggest using treated wood. However, if not, 2x4's should work fine for most of your chicken coop needs.

If your 2x4s won't be getting wet, then treating them is not necessary. However, the 2x4s that I used in my run (along with all other lumber) did get waterproofed just to try to make them last a little longer since they're out in the elements.
