Fireworks in the city

I'm wondering if other folks are having trouble with fireworks. I want to put my almost 5 week old chicks out in the coop but right around 10 every night somebody starts shooting off fireworks that are so loud they sound like gunshots. I'm afraid it's going to severely stress out the birds and maybe even cause them to die. I asked one person if they could stop in the alley and they did but so many other people were shooting them off that it didn't make any difference. Couldn't be worse timing for me.

I have a similar problem. Fireworks are going off every other night, and gunshots go off the rest of them. My flock doesn’t seem to mind too much, they just stay up a bit later than normal.

Chickens do have a keen sense of hearing. It is better to protect them from the loud noises.

We really have to ruin so many nights for dogs, chickens, horses, cats, birds, people with babies, people that get migraines, wildlife, and so many more things so we can see fire in the sky. It’s unbelievable
